Mike and Cindy Moloney outdid themselves pulling together teams of students and grown-ups and challenging all who attended with geography trivia questions that covered the world, the U.S., New England and the state of Maine.  Without  the reigning champion team from last year defending the title, the field was wide open and this nail-biter of a competition came right down to tie-breaker questions to crown the champion teams.  While teams and audience members learned more about geography, the beneficiaries of the fundraising efforts were all smiles, as Daisy's Children, a family facility to halt starvation and educate people in Concepcion del Norte, a small village in Honduras, will receive over $4000 to help them supply their programs and serve more and more mothers and children.  Additional funds raised also will help other programs of the South Berwick - Eliot Rotary Club.  About 20 members of the Marshwood Interact Club helped in so many ways at the event and also had a 50/50 raffle to help raise funds for their international service project when they travel to the Dominican Republic to restore some of the coral reefs there.  Meanwhile, people ate well, thanks to goodies provided by our famous cooks, led by Robin Wheeler, and many went home with great raffle prizes, thanks to the Rotarians who received donations from all over the area, led by Stan Shapleigh and Brenda Gagne.  Many thanks to all who contributed by donating gifts and those businesses and individuals who sponsored teams.  Most of all, we are grateful to Mike and Cindy Moloney who truly make this all possible, and to the Great Works School for opening their doors to this worthwhile event.
